Stories and photos about life along the Continental Divide in Montana between the Clark Fork (westslope) and Big Hole (eastslope) Rivers. Fresh back from a Fulbright in South China, I am looking at American culture/nature through new eyes. Backpacking, cross country skiing, fishing, hunting, hiking... this is the story of a 4-season outdoors person.

Splendid, I love those bighorns on the skyline, snow an d blue, blue sky. . . heavenly.
You are right about the difference between sunrise and sunset. The acme of a sunrise takes less than 30 seconds whereas the sunset takes its time.
What a clear sky! Why do I feel like captioning this? ☺ Nice shot of the rams and tree makes it complete.
Wow a perfect backdrop for these majestic animals... have a blessed weekend!
It takes the breath away. And I was just reading my April issue of Montana Outdoors with a majestic Bighorn on the cover. I don't know what you think of the FWP but they sure find some terrific photographers for all their issues.
Wonderful! I'd love to visit Yellowstone in the winter.
I've never seen bighorns in Yellowstone, and I've never been there in winter. Lovely photo.
