ReplyDeleteYes, I too followed the effort to restore grayling in the Sun, Jeff, Ruby, and other rivers. A fisheries biologist friend tells me that, given the relatively few grayling planted, the odds of any of these populations taking hold as a wild, self-reproducing population are astronomical. With Montana FWP, it's always a matter of too little, too late. I hope that an ESA listing would help Montana FWP to take grayling recovery seriously.
