Stories and photos about life along the Continental Divide in Montana between the Clark Fork (westslope) and Big Hole (eastslope) Rivers. Fresh back from a Fulbright in South China, I am looking at American culture/nature through new eyes. Backpacking, cross country skiing, fishing, hunting, hiking... this is the story of a 4-season outdoors person.

Skywatch Friday: Montana Hunting Scenes
Antelope hunting under the big Montana prairie sky:
Dawn, and the moon sets over a mule deer hunter in the rocky hills along the Big Hole River:
Hunting until sunset, the same hunter is rewarded with a beautiful sky:
Another morning dawns, and an elk hunter looks up as the clouds open briefly over Mt Haggin:
Brrrr
ReplyDeleteBut look at that mountain ~~~ Awe and beauty.
Enjoy your weekend!

Have seen many moonshots this weekend. The third frame has great promises of colors.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful sunset and lovely scenery.
ReplyDeleteThese are beautiful photos, and it does look cold there!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful skies. I like the last photo best.
ReplyDeleteI love your photos...each one develops a wonderful narrative. Nicely done.
ReplyDeleteI would spend more time looking at the sky and beautiful landscape than I would hunting! Glad to see you appreciate it, too.
