For local newspaper coverage and a great photo, see Justin Post, "Grilling the Administration," The Montana Standard (16May2007) at http://www.mtstandard.com/articles/2007/05/16/butte_top/20070516_butte_top.txt .
And for local KXLF-TV station coverage (you have to watch a commercial first), see http://www.montanasnewsstation.com/Global/story.asp?S=6524196 .

What a great site. I need to spend some time with it.
Check out my entry on attempts to start Big Hole grayling in the North Fork of the Sun. It failed.

Thank you, Tom. I enjoy reading your blog; it was a great find.
Yes, I too followed the effort to restore grayling in the Sun, Jeff, Ruby, and other rivers. A fisheries biologist friend tells me that, given the relatively few grayling planted, the odds of any of these populations taking hold as a wild, self-reproducing population are astronomical. With Montana FWP, it's always a matter of too little, too late. I hope that an ESA listing would help Montana FWP to take grayling recovery seriously.
Thank you. - Pat
