Montana Big Sky, you gotta love it. Most days, evening closes with a gorgeous mountain sunset:
Mother's Day found me with Mrs ER hiking the local "Maude S Canyon" trail:
I was glad we got an early start (view up the canyon),:
for soon a dark, inky cloud rolled over the ridge (view to Highland Mountain Range just south of Butte Montana):
Though we hurried our hike just a bit to stay ahead of the coming rain and snow, we paused to admire the new flowers of Oregon Grape (Berberis repens):
and last year's berries on a Common Juniper (Juniperus communis):
Ah, what was I saying about that Big Sky? What sky? By the time we arrived home, the snow squall was in full force (view from front door):

I love the view of the last photo. :)
Great collection of photos, and I feel your pain about the snow. We got some here yesterday as well.
Have a great week

RTD is looking pretty serious in that below post! You must have released one to his chagrin!??
Gotta love those Big Skies even when they dump a load!
Great shots !!
I like the last one ... we had some of that a couple of weeks ago. However by the end of the week it will be hitting the 90's ...
Desert weather...you gotta love it :-)
That's quite a change in seasons.
What a feast, Juniper berries, snow, snow on the peaks and great skies as well!

That's a beautiful sunset photo! And the last photo is great for chrsitmas cards. :)
Looks like a great day, even though it ended with snow!
As a matter of fact, I DO love the Big Sky country! I'm more familiar with where my friends live, in the Ronan/St. Iggy area, but it's all good, as they say!
