Summer in the Northern Rockies, a time for "peakbagging" (climbing to summits) in the mountains of the Pintler Wilderness seen from our house in Walkerville, Montana (near Butte America). My soul lives in these mountains:
Last week, Mt Haggin near Anaconda:

This week, a "twofer," with East Goat Peak:
And its nearby, taller partner (connected by Saddle Mountain), West Goat Peak:

The Montana high country: it might not be heaven, but you can see it from there...

Stunning views. I dream of being there!
Fabulous sights. I wish I was there too.
I figured out what peakbagging was before I read it! Of course I already knew you hiked.
Sure can see why you love there.

Breathtaking views!! So beautiful where you live. I am surprised to see snow. I took a train to Whitefish, Montana years ago and I loved it there.
ER: I think it might be heaven or close to it. No wonder they call it big sky country.
Very beautiful. I love the wide range of stunning natural beauty in this country.
Nice skywatch shots. Great view.
You sure can get close to the sky climbing mountains. Great captures.
Now those are some REAL mountains! Your knees must still be in good shape. Love the blue skies of Montana.

Great post!!! We've visited and backpacked Pintler Wilderness trails and want to do this one too. How hard is the climb? We've troed some other scrambles but the Pintler peaks can be bad.
Oh, those are some beautiful, beautiful peaks. I'm a bit jealous. We have marvelous water here, but not so much when it comes to mountains.
