Skywatch Friday: More Snowy Skies, a Visit to an Old Friend's Grave

Snow, wind, and below average temperatures continue to punish my little mining city:

In between storms, we did get out in the hills to visit RolyTheDog's grave. We buried our old friend on the high prairie with a great view to the mountain peaks of the Pintler Wilderness just west of Butte, Montana:

Then, another snowstorm came:

Luckily, the snow doesn't last more than a day or so this time of year.

What a beautiful place to have buried him! Nothing like variety. I remember one May in Montana when I was driving to Salt Lake City and ended up driving through a blizzard! Won't forget that trip! Hope you have a great weekend!

Grasses, stones, post make beautiful photos illustrating desolation. I find it very appealing. :)

We have a tiny pet graveyard out back. The previous owners started it with two little dog graves complete with little engraved headstones.

RolyTheDog has a gorgeous serene resting place. I've just been reading through your blog and what a beautiful place you live. Thanks for visiting me and commenting on my sunset. How do you collect your elk ivories!?

Beautiful shots. It's funny, my SWF post was also about snow.

Hi,
Thanks for the comment you left about the John Deere tractor. Oh, how I wish he would help when he gets to that age.

Love the photo with the clouds by the way. I don't miss the snow though, so you can keep that there for now :-)

Have a great weekend!

I think that storm arrived here last night. Branches down all over the yard. And very cold.

I remember the photo of RTD kissing a fish. I'm so glad he has such a pleasant view from his resting place.
Weather this time of year is hard to predict, but that keeps things interesting.
